To
complete the review in one sentence, I can put it this way.
Nenokkadine
= Bourne Identity + 555 + Casino Royale + Davinci Code + Dookudu + Athidhi +
Businessman + Adhurs.
Pre-Script:
The movie is sure to flop in B & C centres. Normal illiterate audience and
masala fanatics aren’t yet matured to digest a film of this genre. The
production house shouldn’t have chosen Sankaranthi festival to release such an
intense psycho thriller with a raw plot with no comedy. The director could have
added someone like Brahmanandam or MS Narayana in the script with a role like
assistant to Kriti Sanon. It would have made it appealing to the B,C centre
audience. But others who are educated enough to use an internet and reading
this like you will love this film and wont complain watching it twice. The main plot and the accident scene in London are very similar to Thamizh film "Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu (555).
The hit of Yevadu over Nenokkadine is a thing of concern as directors will hereafter hesitate to try any new attempts.

Note to Prince fans: It is really sad that a
good attempt is spoiled with negative talk within hours of its release. But you
people suddenly blaming masala films looks funny. You (We) have also supported
Doookudu, Pokiri, Businessman kind of regular masala films and made them hits. Keep
that in mind. Stop blaming the fans. They have the right to accept or reject a
film to their discretion. After all they have paid for the film and they
deserve that right.
It is
completely wrong to credit Prince Maheshbabu as the hero of this film. The real
and only hero of this movie is DOP RATHNAVELU. You can feel how much hardwork
and toiling he has done, by watching the film in theatre. Each and every frame is கண்ல ஒத்திக்கற இரகம்.
I dont remember how many times I have said "WOW" & clapped for
several scenes and shots. He has certainly matched the hollywood levels. No
second thoughts on it.
Coming
to Maheshbabu, He has done his role with perfection like he usually does. Done
great justice to the role. Nothing new to say about his acting. But whats new
is his dance in this film. Even hardcore mahesh fans will agree that he is not
good in dance. But he has put a lot of effort and done some unbelievable things
in terms of dance in this. Especially "YOU ARE MY LOVE" song is a
delicious treat apart from Oh Sayanora. Keka visuals. But his role is pretty
much same like in Businessman, Athidhi. Here too he wants to take revenge for
the murder of his parents.
DSP's
Background score is rocking and a major plus point of this film. Songs look much
better with mahesh's screen presence and stunning visuals than when we heard it
as audio. Stunts are mindblowing, particularly those that take place in LONDON
and the fight in the middle of the Sea.
It’s a dream debut for Kriti Sanon with such
a meaty role along with Mahesh. Coming to that song about which Samantha made
that ‘regressive’ comment, it has a reason. The heroine’s role needs to impress
Mahesh for some reasons in the script.
Little prince Gautam (son of Mahesh) is a
perfect choice to be cast as childhood Mahesh. It gives you goosebumps to see
this little lad enacting the role with such an ease. And it is so cute to see
him running ditto like his father. In climax when they show both Mahesh &
Mahesh Jr running together, you hear screams even in a visibly empty theatre.
Villains of this film Posani and Kelly look
funny and reduce seriousness. But Nasser and the twist at the end…. Whattey! It
is true that this film is long. The first half itself makes you to feel like
you’ve watched an entire movie with an ending. But personally I wont complain
about it. I can keep my eyes glued to the screen even for four hours seeing a
charismatic figure like Mahesh. Terrific costumes and mannerisms. The second
half of the movie in London is awesome with super pace except the last few
minutes of dragging climax. Trimming few minutes of scenes that take place in
Goa and removing London Babu song may make the film sleek.
